Mid-Century Two-Drawer Console by Karl Adolf Nothhelfer for Pollmann-Möbel

€595.00

Long, sculpted wooden pulls span the two honey-toned drawer fronts of this German mid-century console. Its darker side panels rise just above the top and curve into splayed legs below, giving the piece a distinctive profile when viewed from the side. The original “Nothhelfer Modell” maker’s stamp is visible inside one drawer.

Information

Designed by Karl Adolf Nothhelfer for Pollmann-Möbel, this compact German console pairs honey-toned drawer fronts with darker wooden side panels. Two drawers sit side by side beneath the top. Each has a long, sculpted wooden pull that tapers at both ends, creating a strong horizontal line across the front.

Viewed from the side, the construction gives the piece much of its character. The side panels rise just above the top with softly rounded corners. Below the drawers, a deep arched cutout divides each panel into two splayed legs. A low raised edge runs along the back of the top, framing a favourite ceramic piece or a small table lamp.

At 59 cm high, the console sits comfortably beside a sofa or beneath a hallway mirror. The drawers keep keys, glasses and other small essentials close to hand. Inside one drawer, the original maker’s stamp reads “Nothhelfer Modell” and “Pollmann-Möbel”, with “Made in Germany” printed above.
