Information

This vintage dining table, attributed to French designer Joseph-André Motte, combines a distinctive contrasting tabletop with the clean proportions of mid-century furniture. The warm brown centre is framed by a lighter wooden border with mitred corners, creating a subtle geometric detail that gives the table its character.

A slim tabletop rests on a wooden frame with four tapered legs. The gently bevelled edge adds a sense of lightness, while the visible grain and contrasting wood tones bring warmth to a dining room, kitchen or creative workspace.

Measuring 130 cm long and 80 cm wide, the table comfortably seats four people. Its fixed rectangular top makes it a practical choice for everyday dining, with proportions suited to both smaller rooms and open-plan interiors. It pairs naturally with vintage wooden chairs, upholstered seating or a mix of different mid-century designs.

The table has recently been sanded and treated with fresh oil, revealing the grain and refreshing the surface. Minor traces of age may remain, consistent with its vintage character.
