Information
Set of four original vintage armchairs by Casala, Germany, dating from the 1950s–1960s.
These chairs have been preserved in fully original condition, including their period upholstery and wooden frames. The olive-brown patterned fabric has a subtle geometric texture that fits the mid-century character particularly well, while the wood shows an attractive natural patina developed through decades of use.
The design is defined by the tall upholstered backrest, generous seat, sculptural wooden armrests and slender tapered legs. The angled supports beneath the armrests give the chairs a light and architectural profile, while the high back and comfortable seat make them suitable for both dining and lounge use.
Rather than being over-restored, the chairs retain the traces of their age, including light wear to the wooden elements. This honest patina adds character and preserves the authenticity of the set.
They work particularly well around a dining table, in a reading area, meeting room or as occasional chairs in a mid-century interior.
