A distinctive three-seater sofa by Dutch furniture maker B. Sprij, dating from the 1960s. The design immediately stands out for its sculptural wooden frame, beautifully shaped armrests and light, open construction.
The solid wooden frame has flowing organic lines, particularly visible in the curved armrests that continue naturally into the legs. This gives the sofa a strong architectural character while keeping the overall appearance remarkably light. The warm tone of the wood works particularly well with the original brown upholstery.
The sofa retains its original loose seat and back cushions. The upholstery shows normal signs of age and use and could benefit from reupholstery, making this an excellent piece for someone looking to choose their own fabric. The cushions themselves remain in good condition. The wooden frame is also well preserved, with age-related traces consistent with a genuine vintage piece.
