Gallé vase in cameo glass , Art Nouveau (c.1930)
Elegant small vase by Émile Gallé, ca. 1930, crafted from yellow glass with deep brown etched leaves and the original Gallé signature. This piece displays the typical refinement of French Art Nouveau glasswork, with beautiful color transitions and detailed relief decoration. The vase is in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips. An ideal collector's item or a stylish addition to an interior with vintage or Art Deco accents.
This elegant vase is an authentic piece from the Émile Gallé workshops, one of the most influential names of the French Art Nouveau and early Art Deco period. The vase dates from around 1930, produced after Gallé’s death (1846–1904), when his artistic legacy was continued by the atelier.
The vase is crafted in cameo glass, a refined technique where several layers of coloured glass are applied and then partially etched and engraved to create a relief design. The result is a striking contrast of tones and textures, giving the piece great depth and sophistication.
The decoration features a floral and botanical motif, characteristic of Gallé’s work. Leaves and flowers are rendered in exquisite detail, with subtle colour gradations – often warm earthy tones, oranges, browns or purples set against a lighter background – giving the vase a timeless elegance.
