This original graphic by Salvador Dalí is part of his renowned Biblia Sacra series, commissioned by the Italian publisher Rizzoli between 1967 and 1969. Titled “Saint Peter”, the work illustrates Dalí’s surrealist interpretation of one of the central figures of the New Testament.
The composition features a monumental head, evoking the rock of faith (petra), draped in flowing robes, while a divine hand or angelic figure emerges above. Dalí’s painterly lithographic technique blends religious symbolism with dreamlike surrealism.
